Enable smooth scrolling in Firefox 12

No comments:
I've experienced smooth scrolling on my Phone and on other Browsers which is why I wanted to have it on Firefox too. It just feels so modern and smooth to have this feature. :P

This is how I enabled it on Firefox 12.

1. Open Firefox, type about:config in address bar and press enter.
2. In the search box, write smooth.
3. Double click on general.SmoothScroll to change it's value from false to true.
4. Done.

Firefox 13 will come out with this feature enabled by default.

Why and How To implement DNS Prefetching

No comments:
This technique lets webmasters speed up loading time of a web page by asking web browsers to automatically execute DNS lookups on others hosts that you will later on link to.

Suppose I have to link to some images on further sections of this webpage then I'd implement DNS prefetching on the domain that hosts those images.

Example:

<link href="http://i.technoslab.com" rel="dns-prefetch"></link>

This technique alone can decrease page/resource loading time by 20 to 120 milliseconds and can come in very handy when you're working with a high traffic website.
