LG has launched its limited edition Optimus One mobile phone, also known as LG LP500. LG company is releasing only 1,000 units of the limited-edition smartphone for cricket lovers in eight cities across India. The LG LP500 is quite different from normal mobile phones, as it sports a shiny gold World Cup logo etched on it back. The smartphone has been launched exclusively for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

This smartphone is powered by Android 2.2 Froyo edition and features a 600MHz processor, a 3.15 megapixel camera, a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 320×480 resolution, an internal memory of 170 MB as well as a 2 GB memory card slot. Some other features of the phone include EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth v2.1 and WiFi 802.11 b/g. LG LP500 will be running on Android 2.2 Froyo edition and Android OS can also be upgraded to v2.3 Gingerbread.
