Ovi Maps Racing gives racing game enthusiasts a totally unique gaming experience combining map navigation and racing. Access your location, create a track and put the pedal to the metal. This advanced game has the ability to track your current location and allows you to create your own race from the streets where you live.

Map data for the game is taken from Ovi Maps Navigation that gets it’s data from NAVTEQ. You can also invite your friends to race these tracks with you or you can race your own ghost, to improve your abilities. The software was created by a company called RedLynx and is compatible on all touchscreen phones that are based on Symbian^1 that includes the Nokia N97 Mini, Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition as well as other phones.

Ovi Maps Racing has been developed by RedLynx, a well known mobile games developer (responsible for N-Gage’s Pathway to Glory).

 

In a truly unique experience, you use the GPS in your device to find your location, then customize a track around your neighborhood, and finally fire up those engines. If you do not fancy making your own route for racing, you can use the preloaded ones. Ovi Maps Racing is currently available on all Nokia touch devices based on Symbian.
