Symbian OS vs Android | how Android is taking over the share

Symbian OS for mobile is well known among Nokia users. It has played sincere part in making Nokia numero uno mobile phone manufacturer. It is a smart OS which has multi-functionality. It has multi-tasking and good application base. It has taught us how to use mobile for calls, social networking, internet and mobile office use. But now, Android has emerged as a powerful mobile and Tablet Operating system and very fastly taking up the share and increasing its share in the market. Android has taken Smartphones to a different level. When there were very less option of smart OS available in market then Symbian showed us the way. But now there is iOS, Windows 7 mobile, Android, Meego and other mobile platforms have evolved. Out of this the most looked after are iOS and Android. iOS are comes with Apple phones only that makes it very costly although it has a great user interface and application store.(Apple iTunes app store)

Symbian OS vs Android | how Android is taking over the share

Android has a default support with Google and sometime comes with preinstalled Google apps like Gmail, Google maps and other services. There are many free apps for Android which is a very good deal while purchasing an Android phone. In Nokia symbian, you need to purchase most of the apps or use pirated cracked software. Nokia is still famous so it is carrying up Symbian OS. The new Symbian^3 has shown up many new features and Nokia N8 was very much loved all around the globe. Nokia N8 which has Symbian 3 has far better features than any other phone in the market. It has a 12 MP camera and UI designed specially for the phone. But if you see HTC desire HD then you will get a 5 MP camera, smart sense UI is a boon but it has nothing like Nokia N8.

I can say for now Nokia is in first position in the smartphone race, but Android is covering the share soon and we will see a totally converted mobile market by end of 2011. Companies like Spice and Micromax are coming forward to produce affordable Android phone so that Indian public can test Android mobile OS.
