Tweet Directly Through Your Airtel Mobile

Twitter is a web based micro-blogging service that allows it’s users to update their status messages with in 140 characters for free. Currently, this service is available through web only in India. India became the 5th country where twitter notifications via SMS is available after USA, UK, Canada and New Zealand.

Tweeting is now possible on Airtel. Twitter is now reachable through your mobile hand set(GPRS). India’s leading mobile network operator Airtel has joined with Twitter by which the users can tweet directly through Mobile SMS. Shortly Airtel subscribers can get updated text based status messages on their Mobile sets.

Activating/Sign up Procedures:

New Users:

SMS SIGNUP to 53000, follow instructions and complete the registration.

Existing Users:

SMS START to 53000, follow instructions to complete linking your Airtel phone to your Twitter Account.

Existing User with a Twitter id and already linked the Mobile number to id

The service will be directly activated.
