Now SMS can be used as a train ticket

Indian Railways has launched a mobile application ‘M-ticket’, which will allow users to book rail tickets via their internet enabled mobile phones. With this application now Passengers don’t have to carry any paper tickets or printout of e tickets as an SMS can be used as Ticket . The SMS will be delivered to users mobile no. after completing booking and payment formalities. To use SMS as Ticket users need to carry a photo id proof (Voter id, Pan card, Driving License, etc) along with them. The service was launched by former Railway Minister and chief minister of West Bengal Mamta Banarjee in kolkata. To download this application visit www.indianrailways.gov.in
