Nokia PC suite update or exit - solution

If your Nokia PC suite has locked itself and provides only two option: "Update" or "Exit", you can still continue using NPS without updating. Here's how.

1. Open Window's Registry Editor: Go to Start -> Run -> Type regedit.exe and press enter.

2. Navigate to this Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nokia\Nokia Suite\{55C272E5-541F-406b-A458-5149CB9715FB}






 3. Carefully delete the Updates folder.

You can also use this command in Windows command prompt to delete the registry key. You can even save it as a bat file on your desktop.

reg DELETE "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nokia\Nokia Suite\{55C272E5-541F-406b-A458-5149CB9715FB}\Updates" /f

4. Restart Nokia PC suite.

It's recommended that you always update to latest version. This solution should be used at times when updating isn't a viable option.
