How does Googlebot see my page ?
As a webmaster, we all wish to please Google and obtain higher SEPR, more indexed pages and regular visits by Googlebot. We also spend time on making sure that our pages look good in different browsers but do we know how our pages appear to Googlebot ? Google webmasters tool provides this cool diagnostics feature `Fetch as Googlebot` that let's you see a page exactly like Googlebot sees it.
This helps in understanding your page's actual content and structure which can be latter used for better SEO of your webpages. If you will try this tool, you'll find that Googlebot doesn't see images,videos and java-script and that's why it's advised to use more and more textual content within an article.
Along with that, page load time and http headers are also returned.
In order to use this feature, you must have added and verified your site under Google's Webmasters Tools.
You can access this feature from Google's Webmasters Tool Dashboard » Diagnostics » Fetch as Googlebot.
For some reason, Google has restricted this feature to 50 links per week.
