Many a times, you'd want to share a video clip on YouTube but without revealing identity of people in the video.
Earlier if you wanted to do that, you could either use a video processing software to blur all faces (with no precision or guarantee) before uploading the video or you could simply drop the idea of sharing the video on YouTube.
Now it's easy because of a feature recently introduced on YouTube which lets you blur every face in a video by simply pressing a button.

Whether you want to share sensitive protest footage without exposing the faces of the activists involved, or share the winning point in your 8-year-old's basketball game without broadcasting the children's faces to the world, our face blurring technology is a first step towards providing visual anonymity for video on YouTube.
Making use of this feature is extremely easy. Select the video you want to process and then head over to Video Enhancement Page, look for Additional features and you should see a feature "Blur All Faces". Click on "Apply" and all faces from the video will be blurred magically. This feature is still in it's infancy and hence there's no guarantee that every face in the video will be detected and blurred successfully which is why users have been advised to watch preview of video before publishing it to the world.
This is an amazing feature which can save lives, help people stay anonymous while spreading a message, protest without worrying about their privacy. I'm sure a lot of people are going to love this. What do you think? Drop in your comments.
